Just to get this out of the way: Steam is apparently supposed to support Dual Shock 3 natively, but in my experience, everything around CONTROLLER SUPPORT AND CONFIGURATION IN STEAM IS ABSOLUTE CRAP. to treat your DS3 as a DS4, but I haven't bothered. This program will make your PC treat your DS3 as an Xbox Controller, which has very wide support.

Install DS4Windows, and have it open it anytime you want to use your DS3 on the PC.Install controller drivers: DsHidMini.

Install drivers for bluetooth support: BthPS3.

The cable is needed whenever you want to connect a DS3 controller to your PC *for the first time*, or re-connect it to the PC after you've connected it to your PS3.

To set things up, you will need a USB cable of the kind that's needed to connect the controller to your PS3.

What you'll need to do in a nutshell (quick instructions for each of these steps further below) :

6 on BT is a Windows limitation apprently

Apparently, you can connect up to 8 controllers.

To connect your DS3 controller, you will need to have DS4Windows open.

Even the rumble effects work perfectly in games that have such effects.

Dual Shock 3 will be recognized in Steam and non-Steam games, and mapping of buttons should work as expected.

You will be able to connect wirelessly your Dual shock 3 controllers to your PC by pressing the PS button, via Bluetooth.

There is no official GameFAQs app, and we do not support nor have any contact with the makers of these unofficial apps. Continued use of these apps may cause your IP to be blocked indefinitely. Some unofficial phone apps appear to be using GameFAQs as a back-end, but they do not behave like a real web browser does.
